February 2026 in the rear view
Another morning, another motel bed
Another city waiting up ahead
Light another menthol to clear my mind
I don’t even smoke no more and I’m faithful to one city, but I like to pretend I’m a baddie.
And that’s a very cool song from a very cool album, btw.
I packed my not-so-ordinary volkswagon to its limits again and headed south - as y’all already know, to bring my handpicked goods to London. 5* for my dressing skills this time as I didn’t freeze my ass, though God only knows how much I can’t wait to shed them layers, thermals and shearlings for good!!!!!!!!!111 Sunny days are ahead of us, right? Right??

Market life, cool fits and cool folks
Back at the ranch, I’ve been working quietly in my barn. I call it a barn, but it’s actually a grubenhaus on the reconstruction site within the natural reserve nearby where I live. It’s been my go to place to shoot since 2021 as it’s not too busy (apart from some dogwalkers and birdwatchers who couldn’t care less about what I do) and it gets good light in all seasons. It’s also a place where I can take my kid to work - my dog, who lately had some camera pressure - y’all have no idea how many times I had to photoshop her tail out of the frame!
These 1960s overalls are just too perfect… listed here
I’m not a frequent cinema visitor, but I managed to go and see not one, but two movies this month! Wuthering Heights - don’t judge me, I’m just a girl underneath the Marlboro Man gaze, and EPiC - Elvis Presley in Concert, and I honestly can’t wait to rewatch the latter again and again and again…! I’m a huge Elvis fan and seeing those newly published clips in 4k is such a gift! Not my words, I’ve seen them on the internet - if you’re Elvis fan, you’ll love the movie, if you’re not - you’ll become one.

Talking about movies, Dark Winds season 4 dropped, and so I’m glued to the screen every Sunday evening (to my UK readers: if I’m correct, seasons 1 & 2 are on UK Netflix, other seasons are on AMC+ and you’ll need a VPN to watch). I’m a huge fan of the original book series by Tony Hillerman and thought the tv series in only inspired by the stories, there are still some common elements I enjoy but most importantly, it delivers on other angles - cast wise, locations wise and bringing the Diné culture to the masses.

Something that I’ve been particularly loving about the series since the very beginning is the outfits - I' wrote about it a few times on my ig and recently here, summarising season 3. But one thing bugged me and that is Joe Leaphorn’s hat. It has the Open Road look, but it ain’t Stetson. I googled and research it millions of times and you know what, folks? Universe do be listening. In the episode 1 or 2 of season 4, we get a frame that shows the inside of his hat. And I’d never guess. It’s Larry Mahan. They don’t seem to be selling this style at all, but I reached out to them asking a few detail on it (hashtag: nerd) and will report back if I get a reply.
This hat is such a damn perfection…
A short month deserves a short summary, right? Without furter ado (and nothing exciting to share), I can’t wait to invite y’all to my new online drop this Wednesday, March 4th. I’ll be launching the best USA-made 70s denim, western shirts and a few suede jackets. As always, a mix of menswear and womenswear in different sizes, but with a common thread - cool factor assured by me, because you already know it - I only sell pieces I’d wear myself.
Delivery day!
Preview of the collection dropping March 4th.
Thanks for reading & see you out yonder, Marina
