A very cool and very soft vintage jacket
Made of deer leather and lined with wool - the perfect piece for in between seasons
Berlin, Wisconsin was once known as the fur and leather capital of the Midwest, specialising in custom made clothing out of remarkably soft, thick and pliable leather, which - compared to cowhide, ages with golden patina
Featured here jacket was made sometime in the late 50s or early 60s
It is in fully wearable condition, but shows signs of age and wear, such as flaking on the back of the collar, top sleeves and cuffs, and wrinkles; those should ease with time of wear.

I have steamed the lining and lightly washed and treated the leather with a leather conditioner.
