What I wore at the Goodwood Revival 2025

I put on my best antique gear for this year’s (and my first ever) Goodwood Revival. Although the event might be commonly associated with the post-war British fashion, as a true cowgirl that I am (aka once a cowgirl, always a cowgirl), I brought my own flair to the party.

Though I have never been to Revival before, I knew from trusted sources that the competition is TOUGH. So naturally, I couldn’t help but bring my A-game and match the energy.

As the weather wasn’t looking promising, choosing an outfit became the next obstacle. But eventually, I decided to ignore the so-called competitor that is the weather. Honestly, it felt like an unfair opponent I wasn’t even going to bother competing with. So, I went all in and chose pieces that are anything but rain- and mud-proof: a 1930s white silk dress, a 1940s suede and horsehide jacket, 1970s Acme boots and my Stetson hat (which cost me a fortune).

If I had to sum up the Goodwood Revival in one comparison, I’d say it’s like Disneyland for anyone who’s into vintage. Everywhere you look, there’s just another thrill - that be somebody in their finest outfit, an insane vintage car (though the second I laid my eyes on this San Francisco sheriff Plymouth, I was gone!; literally, as we got ‘arrested’ and showed in the back seat) or even the setting itself. I was in heaven when I discovered an amusement park that’s been all made up with the early 1900s rollercoasters, steam trains and other marvels you can’t see anywhere else. Especially when they were all lit up at night - the glow of the lights with the smoke of the steam train against the deep blue sky, felt like something I’d only ever seen in the movies.

Apart from the day being all about the looks, it was just a perfect day of hanging out with old friends and acquaintances, browsing through some incredible curations of vintage clothes (like at the stall of the @Ironchild_vintage) and cars, all filled with such uplifting, positive energy of like-minded people.
Super happy and grateful to be able to experience all that
